Powerbook is a laptop series from Macontosh that was first introduced on October 21, 1991 and discontinued in 2006. Many of the Powerbooks were the first to contain features that are now standard in all laptops. The series even recieved the Industrial Design Excellence Awards "Gold" status. The series was then ended in 2006 when Mac started producing the Macbook series.
